Residential Programs and Services (RPS) falls under the Residential Life department and Indiana University – Bloomington. It is responsible for housing over 10,000 students on campus (a majority of whom are first-year students) in 16 residence halls which are grouped into 3 neighborhoods: Central, Southeast, and Northwest. According to the mission statement, RPS strives “to create life-changing experiences by building relationships, developing others, and creating a sense of belonging for our students, their families, and the IU community” Residential Programs and Services, n.d.).
